Allegro Sellers: How to Comply with GPSR for Cosmetics

April 4, 2026

Allegro is Poland's largest e-commerce platform, with millions of cosmetics listings. Since GPSR came into effect in July 2024, every cosmetics seller on Allegro must comply with product safety regulations — or risk listing removal and fines.

What Allegro Requires

Product safety documentation

Allegro may request proof of compliance at any time. You should have ready:

  • Responsible Person (RP) details — name, address, EU-based
  • CPNP notification confirmation
  • Product Information File (PIF) reference
  • Safety assessment summary

Complete product listings

Your Allegro listing should include:

  • Full INCI ingredient list
  • Responsible Person information
  • Country of origin (for non-EU products)
  • Warnings and precautions

Consumer complaint handling

If a buyer reports an adverse reaction, you must:

  1. Document the complaint
  2. Report to the Responsible Person
  3. Report serious adverse effects to the national authority (GIS in Poland)

Common Mistakes by Allegro Sellers

  • No Responsible Person — importing from AliExpress without appointing an EU RP
  • Incomplete labeling — Polish language requirements not met
  • No safety monitoring — not checking if products appear in EU safety alerts
  • Expired products — selling cosmetics past their use-by date

How to Set Up Compliance Monitoring

  1. Create a BeautyGuard account
  2. Register your company
  3. Upload your Allegro product catalog (export barcodes as CSV)
  4. Run a compliance check
  5. Get weekly monitoring emails

Free plan covers 10 products. Pro plan (€99/month) covers up to 1,000.
